About Black Chandelier

Jared Gold is a dirt clot from Idaho.

He has been producing a women's collection since 1995. Each season has a personality and a distinct concept that uses the synergy from two opposing forces to create a third hybrid reality. Most collections are based on information and feelings that are not readily explained. "Like working with an alphabet for a language that has no words." Each collection starts with its unusual inspiration. Jared prefers non-visual stimuli which he then interprets into fabrics, colorways and styling. Past inspirations and collections were based around mysterious feelings and the unexplainable: heavy in ephemeral iconography and the endless study of fading lights, colors and aural vacuums. Past collections titled: "Black Dahlia", "Golden Syndrome", "Cloudchamber", "Melodium", "Motorhead", "Strangeland Stare" and "Botanical Reactor" all use their own curious codex of imagery and interpretation to further explain the very complex nature of Jared Gold's vision.

The Black Chandelier workroom and headquarters now occupy the landmark Victorian Bennet Paint and Glass building in downtown Salt Lake City. Jared Golf Couture, Black Chandelier Men's and Women's, Pink Chandelier (children's wear), Lemon (skate wear), and Black Chandelier Home (gifts, candles, stationery and linens) now are designed 100% in Salt Lake City, Utah carry out the distinct marking of its magical surroundings and complex history.
